We need to be preparing for God’s assignment instead of drifting along and not being ready for opportunities when they come.

Brief frustration over the right issues can be normal – but we must remember that the Lord is sovereign.

We need to be alert to opportunities the Lord may be providing us and take advantage of them while we are able.

Recognizing that there are no coincidences, we look and listen for God in ‘coincidental’ circumstances.

When longing is fulfilled, it can be bittersweet. For legitimate longings, let us focus on what is sweet rather than on what is bitter.

Mistakes in our giving or receiving prophecy should no more tempt us to avoid it than mistakes in our knowledge should tempt us to give up on learning.

As an act of kindness that conveys grace, offering another a smile can be encouraging.

We need to engage in acts of commitment to truly be committed. Mere words are not enough.

Just because we aren’t as successful as others doesn’t mean that the Lord might not use us in great ways.

If we are not committed enough to accept hardship, then we are not very committed.

It can take courage to stand alone for what is best when that is contrary to the opinions of others.
